GPS

I use a garmin Zumo 660 GPX. This is GPX which is designed to be installed onto a motorbike as it is fully waterproof and the touch screen can be used with gloves on.

I plan all our routes in the free Garmin Basecamp on my PC then upload it to my GPX. Another advantage is that I can pair my Iphone and helmet communications together.

If you want a copy of my GPX routes which are saved as XML files please contact me and will send them to you. They can also be converted to the TomTom format if required.

Helmet Communications

I have a Interphone F5 helmet comminications. This can be paired with any mobile phone, GPX and other helmet communicators.

Setting up is very easy through the simple voice commands and side touch buttons. We have found that we can still maintain a communication link up to 600m apart depending on local terrain. The battery last all day and only takes 4 hours to fully charge.

I now use a GoPro 3 Black. This is a great camera with fantastic colour and stable videos due to the high frame rate.

There are a number of different mounts available plus with removable and replacable batteries you can record all day.

There is not enough room to fully describe all the features and how to video so this subject is best explained face to face with practical demonstrations.
